About
My Background
I've loved taking photographs since I was 10 years old and used to help my grandfather in his darkroom. I wanted to go to art school, but ended up pursuing a doctorate in my other passion, biology. In 2010 I purchased my first dslr and enrolled in a photography program at NYIP.
Photography as Communication
I am partial to black and white. I use digital and occasionally film. The different shades of gray, the tonal values, the contrasts that can be found in the world just amazes me. Beauty can be found in the simplest scene or object.
